- Event details: Event name, date, time, location, description, and theme preferences
- Guest lists: Names and email addresses of your invited guests
- RSVP responses: Attendance status, meal preferences, dietary restrictions, song requests, and +1 information
- Payment information: When you purchase Premium or Pro plans, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other financial information on our servers
- Communications: Messages you send through our contact form or support channels
- Blog subscriptions: Email address when you subscribe to our newsletter
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit DigitalRSVPs, we automatically collect certain information:
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, device type, and screen resolution
- Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, click patterns, and referring URLs
- IP address: Used for security, analytics, and approximate geographic location
- Cookies and similar technologies: See Section 8 below
1.3 Information from Third Parties

- Analyze usage patterns to improve our platform
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
3.1 With Event Hosts and Guests
When you RSVP to an event, your response (name, attendance, meal preferences, song requests) is shared with the event host. When a host creates an invitation, guest email addresses are used solely to deliver invitations.
3.2 With Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party services to operate our platform:
- Supabase — Database hosting and authentication
- Stripe — Payment processing (PCI DSS compliant)
- Resend — Transactional and marketing email delivery
- Netlify — Website hosting and CDN
- Google Analytics — Website analytics and usage tracking
Each service provider processes your data only as necessary to provide their services and in accordance with their own privacy policies.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency), or to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property.
4. Payment Data & Stripe
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase, your payment information is sent directly to Stripe through their secure, PCI DSS-compliant infrastructure. We never see, store, or have access to your full credit card number.
We may receive from Stripe: the last four digits of your card, card brand, expiration date, billing address, and transaction status. This limited data is used for order confirmation, billing history, and customer support.

5. Email Communications
5.1 Transactional Emails
We send essential emails related to your use of DigitalRSVPs, including invitation deliveries, RSVP confirmations, event reminders, password resets, and account notifications. These emails are necessary for the service and cannot be unsubscribed from while you have an active account.
5.2 Marketing & Newsletter Emails
With your consent, we may send newsletters, event planning tips, product updates, and promotional content. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or visiting our unsubscribe page.
5.3 Email Service Provider
We use Resend to deliver emails. Your email address and name may be processed by Resend to facilitate delivery. Resend processes data in accordance with their privacy policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information as follows:
- Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion
- Event data: Retained while the event is active. Events are automatically archived 90 days after the event date
- RSVP data: Retained as part of event data
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
- Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized after 26 months
- Contact form messages: Retained for 2 years
- Newsletter subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe

7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure database hosting with Supabase, row-level security policies, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. We use cookies and similar technologies to provide, secure, and improve DigitalRSVPs.
8.1 Types of Cookies We Use
- Essential cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security. These cannot be disabled as the site would not function properly without them.

8.4 Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry standard for responding to DNT signals, so DigitalRSVPs does not currently respond to DNT signals. We will update this policy if a standard is established.
