Text invites · Free on every plan
Send invitations by text — from your phone, not ours.
One tap opens Messages with everyone added and the invite link prefilled. Sends from your real number, free on every plan, with the deliverability of a text from a friend.
See it in action
Tap once. Messages opens with everyone added.
Watch the flow end to end — the dashboard, the handoff to your phone's native Messages app, the prefilled body, the Send button. Real flow, not a mockup.
- 1Open your dashboard
- 2Tap “Text 6”
- 3Messages opens with guests + body prefilled

How it works
Three taps. From your dashboard to your guests.
Add phones to your guest list
Guests can drop their phone on the RSVP form, or you can paste names + emails + phones into the bulk-add textarea. The parser figures out what's what — no syntax.
Tap “Text {N}” on your dashboard
Your phone’s Messages app opens with every guest who has a number on file pre-added, and the invite link prefilled in the message body. Edit anything you want.
Hit Send. Done.
The text sends from your own number using your carrier plan. We never see the message — no server hop, no data collected, no extra fees on top of your carrier.
From your real number
Lands in iMessage, not the spam folder.
Between iPhones, your invite arrives as a blue iMessage; to Android guests, as a normal green-bubble SMS. Either way, it’s a personal text from your number — not a shortcode like “86753” that triggers carrier spam filtering and gets muted by default.

Real number = iMessage. Shortcode = filtered.
Zero platform fees
We don't charge per text. Ever.
Evite's SMS add-on is $14.99–$34.99 per month. Twilio is roughly $0.0083 per US message plus carrier surcharges. Our cost is $0 because we never send the message — your phone does. That's why Text Invites is included free on every plan.

Privacy by design
We literally cannot see the message.
The text never traverses our servers. We build the prefilled sms: link, your phone's Messages app takes over, and the message goes from your carrier to your guest's carrier. There's nothing for us to log.
What we store about the sent text
We track the open of the compose modal. That's it.
Free on every plan
Yes, on Free too. The only free SMS path on the market.
Every other invitation platform either charges for SMS (Evite Premium) or doesn't offer it (Joy, Greenvelope, Paperless Post). Text Invites is the only feature you can use on day one of a Free account to actually send invites — no upgrade, no credit card.

The bulk-add parser, live.
Paste anything — names, emails, phones, comma-separated, pipe-separated, angle-bracketed. We auto-detect name, email, and phone per line. No syntax to learn.

Head to head
Nobody else lets you do this for free.

- Sends from your real phone number — iMessage between iPhones
- You edit the message before Send; no shortcode wrapper
- Zero TCPA exposure for the platform; standard personal SMS
- Phones unlocked via RSVP form, bulk paste, or Edit Guest

What hosts ask first.
Yes — a normal SMS or iMessage sent from your phone, the same way you text anyone else. Your contacts will see it come from your real number, with no shortcode or service prefix.
No. They receive a normal text on their normal plan. Modern US plans include unlimited SMS, so there's effectively no cost on either side.
It looks like a text from a friend, because it is one. iMessage blue bubble between iPhones; standard green-bubble SMS on Android. No service-name footer ("Sent via Evite", etc.) and no shortcode prefix.
Yes — the modal shows the prefilled message and lets you edit it before launching Messages. Once Messages opens, you can also edit there before tapping Send.
Group texts include any phone — iPhone or Android — and each guest gets a normal SMS. iMessage only applies between iPhones; the rest fall back to plain SMS, which works the same way.
Three reasons. (1) Sending through a service like Twilio costs $0.008+ per message, which we'd have to pass on. (2) Carrier-side spam filtering treats shortcode senders worse than personal numbers. (3) Texting on someone's behalf has TCPA compliance overhead we don't want and you don't need.
On macOS with iMessage signed in, yes — clicking Open Messages launches Messages.app prefilled. On Windows or Linux desktops there's no system-level SMS handler, so we suggest using Copy Link to share manually. The feature shines on phones.
Yes. It's included on every plan — Free, Premium, and Pro. The only requirement is that your guests have phone numbers on file (collected via the RSVP form, your Edit Guest dialog, or the bulk-paste field).
Send your first text invite in 30 seconds.
No add-on, no credit card. Add a phone to any guest, then tap one button.
